Released on August 16, the University of North Florida (UNF) poll showed DeSantis with a two-point lead over Trump among registered Republican voters in the state, with just 7 percent of voters saying they’d vote for someone else. While other polls have directly compared Trump and DeSantis—a rising star in the GOP who has modeled his political brand after Trump’s—the UNF poll appears to be the first public example of DeSantis’ viability in his home state in a head-to-head contest for the presidency against the man who is still widely considered the head of the modern Republican Party....

For Destiny players, especially those who regularly run the Vault of Glass, this hot fix represents a big change in strategy. Before, players would typically group into two teams and tackle Atheon in an organized fashion. Now, there will be a few seconds during each teleport where players will need to regroup. The wording of the Destiny hot fix suggests that this random teleport was always supposed to be a part of the Atheon fight, but it’s hard to imagine that was the case....

And while the latest Weekly Update doesn’t offer too much in the way of new information, it does tease some important changes are on the way. Some of the changes we already knew were on the way, while Bungie apparently kept others secret until now. In the Update, Bungie explains that there are “several bundles of joy” (read: hot fixes) on the way that are sure to please Destiny players of all types....

Ornaments are a new type of item that can be applied to certain armor sets and exotic weapons. They’re similar in essence to the Chroma modifiers that were introduced in the game’s April update, but will apparently allow far more dramatic modifications of stock gear, even changing their geometry. Three armor sets from Rise of Iron are currently confirmed to support the application of ornaments. These are the Iron Lords set, the set awarded for success in the Trials of Osiris, and the set awarded for completing the new raid set to be included in the expansion....

But even if the balance update had some unintended, and less popular changes, it appears that Bungie has, at the very least, shifted the meta away from fast-firing pulse rifles and shotguns, and towards a few different weapon classes. Now the dominant weapons in Destiny PvP are the hand cannons and the sidearms, due in large part to changes to accuracy on hand cannons and changes to special ammo on everything but sidearms....

The good news is that a weapon balance update is in the works, which should hopefully improve the state of Destiny’s PvP once it releases. And Bungie has begun teasing new content for later this year - presumably the last add-on before the release of Destiny 2 in the fall. Alongside those familiar traditions, Xur has made his triumphant return to The Tower for his weekend sale. If you’re looking to find Xur, he is hiding across from The Speaker, next to the big circular door....

Specifically, players can find Xur by spawning into the Tower, heading straight, zooming past Eris Morn and the Crucible vanguard, and then looking to the right in the back room. If you see a very large table – this is the area that Destiny players turn in their quests in the hopes of getting a Year 3 Icebreaker – then you are in the right place.
