Bungie teased yesterday in their Bungie Weekly Update that the much-anticipated information will be shared next week. Bungie Community Manager, DeeJ, also followed up the blog post with a tweet saying that a Raid designer will tell all about challenge modes in next week’s Bungie Weekly Update. [HTML1] Not much is known about the upcoming Challenge Modes to King’s Fall, but Bungie has confirmed that it will involve defeating the bosses within the Raid with a new mechanic added to each encounter....

While many of the older remixed strikes feature packs of Taken among the normal enemies, this one feels a lot different....

Enter popular Destiny streamer and content creator Datto, who has put together a damage breakdown for the top tier weapon choices when it comes to the Aksis boss fight in Wrath of the Machine. Obviously, the cannons are going to be the first choice when it comes to doing damage, as each can dole out upwards of 120,000 HP of damage per charged shot, but Datto’s video focuses on what weapons the other three players (those not holding cannons) should use....

The pair were eager to talk up the sprawling size of this second full-scale Destiny expansion. Apparently the team intended to create a DLC package that was bigger than last year’s House of Wolves, but the finished product turned out to be even larger than intended. The game world available for Guardians to explore is scheduled to grow with the release of Rise of Iron. The footage that accompanies the Game Informer interview with Barrett and Taylor shows off some of the vast Plaguelands area in Old Russia, which becomes accessible over the course of the expansion....

The Clever Dragon Back during The Taken King, fans discovered a pulse rifle that sat atop all others in the class. It was a weapon almost wholly alone in that archetype. That weapon is the Grasp of Malok. Obtained only from the Omnigul strike (which also led to hours of farming by fans), this high rate of fire, extremely low impact pulse rifle could deal out massive damage in the Crucible....

Thus far, Bungie has done a solid job of detailing all of Destiny: The Taken King’s major additions and changes, which include more vault space, new faction features, and ghost shells with unique properties. However, with an expansion this big – the patch alone is 18GB – there are likely some pieces of info that Bungie hasn’t covered, but that gamers might be curious to know about. Luckily, Bungie has quite the social media presence now, and have been using it to share small pieces of Destiny info....

Whether it’s a live-action trailer, cinematically-styled footage, or recycled versions of gameplay that’s been released an innumerable amount of times, it’s obvious that Bungie has put an obscene amount of money into marketing the forthcoming add-on for Destiny. In anticipation for The Taken King’s imminent release, the company has now put out yet another piece of publicity, but this time it puts the spotlight on the players themselves. Entitled “The Legend of You”, the promotional website prompts gamers to head over to this link, enter their GamerTag or PSN name, and then select their Guardian....

But, that doesn’t mean that last-gen Destiny players will be completely left in the dust. As Bungie reveals in its ‘This Week at Bungie’ post, Destiny players will still be able to progress in their favorite RPG franchise, albeit on a new path. Whereas before, progress was shared across the same platform family, now the two will be split. In the most basic terms, this news means that Destiny players will no longer be able to upgrade seamlessly from PS3 to PS4 or Xbox 360 to Xbox One and carry over all of their progression....

Players will have about two months to complete their Moments of Triumph, before Destiny officially switches over to Year 3 with the release of Rise of Iron. After that, no more shader or emblem unlocking will be possible. So, try to check those items of the list sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, finding Xur is not on that list for Year 2 Moments of Triumph, but the Agent of Nine has returned for his usual weekend visit....

Destiny 2 Forest of Echoes Data Cache - In Memory Before delving into all the data caches to find in Forest of Echoes, it should be noted that in order to progress it’s necessary for players to align the first Beacon. This is found within the cathedral ahead, on the right. Players should also note that there is a mandatory upgrade for the Wayfinder’s Compass to have in order to see caches, and that’s called Frequency Echoes....

As seen in the tweet below from the Destiny 2 Community Manager, Dague wishes fans a Happy New Year, and explains that he is back at Bungie to look over the contents of Hotfix 1.1.1.2 that will be applied later today. He also confirms that the studio will be “restoring game rituals like Iron Banner and Faction Rallies to working order for all.” As far as the live calendar is concerned, though, Bungie will bring updates for that next week....

The farming method that Destiny 2 players can use this week for the purpose of earning Loaded Question was discovered and posted by user Invertex over on the Destiny subreddit. The time-sensitivity of this method is tied to the fact that it involves the Nightfall selection for the week. With the ability to select from one of three Nightfalls and use modifiers, players can ease their climb to getting the fusion rifle and arc kills required to earn Loaded Question....

There are three main ways to earn Mementos in Destiny 2. Each way requires players to take part in specific activities, and some are easier to earn than others. Once earned, you can equip them to any weapon that was forged in the Relic in the Enclave on Mars. Each Memento will provide players with different perks.
