Several polls indicate that independents would prefer to send Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, to the White House come 2024 in a potential match-up against the Democratic incumbent. The conservative media company InteractivePolls compared four separate polls in a Wednesday tweet. In each one, independents were asked who they would back for president if the 2024 general election were held today: Biden or DeSantis. The Republican politician earned 39 percent among independents to Biden’s 32 percent in a Harvard/Harris poll....
In a survey of Texas Republicans released by the Texas Republican Party Monday, approximately 43 percent of likely Republican primary voters say DeSantis would be their first choice for president, while fewer than one-third of likely voters said they would select Trump as their choice. Newsweek has contacted Trump’s office for comment. The results represent a stunning turnaround from just this summer, when Trump won the support of 69 percent of attendees at this August’s Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, compared to just 24 percent support for DeSantis....

A Texas grand jury in Brazoria County is considering another criminal complaint against Watson in the final case pending against the athlete, Tony Buzbee, the complainant’s lawyer, according to Fox 8 WJW in Cleveland. The possibility of a new complaint comes just two weeks after a grand jury in Harris County declined to indict the quarterback on nine criminal complaints. The latest development is related to an incident that lies outside the jurisdiction of the Harris County District Attorney’s Office....

While most would have expected Bungie to announce the challenge mode ahead of time, the Destiny developer has decided to focus on surprises as of late. The studio did the same thing with last weekend’s Trials of Osiris event, which launched without radar or revive capabilities as a new type of twist on the mode. Of course, no one would have expected Bungie to outright explain how to complete the Vosik challenge; that’s part of the fun of these challenge modes....
While fighting in the new Plaguelands zone on Earth, players will want to be sure to visit Felwinter’s Peak, the new social zone where Lord Saladin and a new vendor named Shiro-4 have taken up residence. Unlike The Tower, where Saladin only appears to headline Iron Banner events, players can find him here selling a new item called Iron Engrams. Collectors will want to picks these up as they decrypt into Year 1 or 2 Iron Banner gear, though Bungie has not confirmed what players will need to purchasing these with....
In preparation for the big release, Bungie livestreamed an unboxing of the new Destiny PlayStation 4, and showed off some of the exclusive in-game experiences and gear available only for those PlayStation owners who pick up The Taken King. As the below video shows, Bungie kicked off the livestream with The Taken King trailer, then jumped right into the PlayStation 4 console unboxing. As we’ve shared previously, the special edition bundle comes with a white console that sports a gold galaxy map tattoo, and is accompanied by a sleek white controller....
After all, Bungie has stated that they believe Destiny will be around for at least a decade, and creating a world that keeps players engaged and wanting more is paramount to making that a reality. The trailers released earlier for The Taken King have gone a long way in tantalizing a more involved story, and the most recent video released today suggests that Bungie hasn’t forgotten about past iconic characters in Destiny’s relatively short lifespan so far....
Weekly Nightfall This week’s Nightfall is Sepiks Perfected, which will pit Guardians against the resurrected Sepiks with SIVA enhancements. Since this is one of the reworked strikes for Rise of Iron, many will already be familiar with it. This week’s modifiers are: Epic, Juggler, Grounded, Match Game, and Catapult. Epic will produce heavily shielded enemies that are highly aggressive and will appear in greater numbers. Juggler will provide no ammo drops for your equipped weapon – meaning, Guardians will have to switch weapons regularly to keep ammo stocked....
For Crota’s End hard mode, Destiny promised a new challenge, one that gamers would likely not be able to complete solo. And, having experienced the hard mode raid earlier today, we can safely say the difficulty curve is pretty steep. Not impossible, mind you, but challenging enough that Destiny fireteams will need to be on their A-game to complete it. So what’s different in hard mode Crota’s End? Actually, not a whole lot....
According to Bungie, the April update will add new PvE challenges to Destiny, along with new gear and a new light level step. Those challenges will apparently include a new strike and quest called Blighted Chalice. While not much is known about the April update at this time, Bungie did include a screenshot of three “Taken Guardians” with their weekly post. Moreover, those Guardians were decked out in Prison of Elders gear, suggesting that the new PvE content could be revamped versions of the Prison of Elders arenas, only with Taken enemies....
