However, with the House of Wolves more than a month removed from its launch, we’re not afraid to turn our thoughts towards what’s next. More specifically, we took to the Activision booth at E3 2015 to see what Destiny: The Taken King has to offer, and whether it will meet the needs of the game’s rabid fan base. Unfortunately, what we got a chance to play was fairly limited in scope....

Speaking to IGN about the game’s first large-scale expansion, Bungie community manager DeeJ gave some details about the King’s Fall Raid set to be added into the game with The Taken King. According to him, it’s the biggest Raid that Bungie has created for Destiny thus far. From its name alone, we can expect King’s Fall to be the culmination of The Taken King as a whole, in a way that the Vault of Glass wasn’t for the base game....

Even so, there is the assumption that many Destiny fans will return to the game. What will draw them back is unclear, but most figure new content - story missions, raids, strikes, gear, etc. - will likely do the trick. Another factor that might see Destiny players turn, albeit for a brief spell, is Xur’s exotic inventory, which rotates week-to-week. There are likely still some exotic weapons and armor piece son players’ wish lists, and if/when Xur sells those items we’d bet a few players will come back....

The Scorn is the new enemy type in Destiny 2: Forsaken and are best described as mutated versions of Fallen. However, unlike Siva Fallen, which were more or less a reskin, The Scorn will force players to rethink their tactics and they have a completely different approach. There are a handful of different enemy types within the overarching Scorn category, and each will challenge players in different ways. For example, there is a subset of Scorn that is charged with dark ether and will rush the player and try to explode right on them, not unlike the Hive’s Cursed Thrall....

According to the announcement, much like the original release of Destiny 2, Forsaken will feature a PS4-exclusive Strike, Exotic weapon, jumpship, and gear set per class. None of the exclusives have yet to be officially unveiled in detail, what with the expansion still being over two and a half months away, though there’s always the possibility that one of the already teased exotics will end up being the exclusive. At the very least it won’t be the Ace of Spades since Cayde-6’s hand-cannon has a weapon ornament bundled with pre-orders on all three platforms....

Over on the Destiny 2 subreddit, a screenshot surfaced of a user within the game’s Roster menu with a previously unseen setting in the game. When the user’s banner was examined more closely, it displayed text that said Cross Save Enabled, a feature which isn’t supposed to be live yet. Thankfully, the mystery was quickly solved as community manager Cozmo23 entered the discussion to reveal that the user in question was actually a Bungie employee testing out a couple things to help iron out any remaining issues before the public gets its hands on the anticipated feature....

The Dawning once again features Eva Levante’s Oven, a crafting station where players can combine ingredients to bake gifts for their favorite Destiny characters. The event will still go on for two more weeks, so players do have time if they want to engage in the activities as intended.
