This week, though, Destiny players can find Xur next to the Vanguard Quartermasters in the Eastern wing of the Tower. Head straight forward after spawning into the Tower, follow the stairs down, proceed past Eris Morn and the Crucible Handlers, and Xur should be in the final room on the right hand side.

For exotic armor, Xur has a set of Year 1 items that have been upgraded to the Taken King’s new defense level. The Helm of Saint-14 is a very useful choice for Titans, especially those who regularly use their Ward of Dawn bubble. The Crest of Alpha Lupi will assist Hunters who need to be revived quickly, like in a match of Trials of Osiris, for example. And the Light Beyond Nemesis helmet is a Warlock’s best friend, offering extra super energy, quick revives, and it can generate an extra orb during super use.

Xur has an exotic weapon this week instead of an engram; he’s offering the 4th Horseman shotgun. The 4th Horseman was previously a PS4 exclusive exotic weapon, but the exclusivity deal ran out with the launch of Destiny: The Taken King. Now, all players can enjoy the fast-firing weapon.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

Helm of Saint-14 (Titan Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins Crest of Alpha Lupi (Hunter Chest Piece) – 13 Strange Coins Light Beyond Nemesis (Warlock Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins The 4th Horseman (Shotgun) – 23 Strange Coins Legacy Special Weapon Engram – 31  Strange Coins Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins

Overall, nothing too exciting to say about Xur’s inventory. He has some solid armor pieces, but as Year 1 items it’s likely most players already have the Helm, Crest, and Light Beyond Nemesis. Moreover, at 280 light level, the exotics still require a fair bit of infusing if they want to be useful during the King’s Fall raid.

What exotics are still on your list? Did you hope Xur might have a Black Friday deal on offer?

Destiny: The Taken King is out now for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
