First things first, Xur can be found in The Reef, in his usual hiding spot. It’s actually the spot he was in last weekend, so if you were keeping track he shouldn’t be too hard to find.

Xur’s exotic armor selection includes the Helm of Inmost Light for Titans, the Young Ahamkara’s Spine gauntlets for Hunters, and the Light Beyond Nemesis helmet for Warlocks. Two PvP-focused items and one PvE focused item for players to choose from, but far from the best exotic choices.

The fast firing auto rifle Monte Carlo is in Xur’s exotic weapon slot this weekend, and is worth picking up for those players that love melee attacks. Sure, auto rifles aren’t as strong compared to hand cannons or pulse rifles, but Monte Carlo fires fast enough to help win plenty of gun fights.

But of course the focus this weekend is not on what Xur is selling, but what he isn’t. For those Destiny players who have been keeping track, the past two weeks Xur did not sell the Three of Coins consumable, an item that, once used, creates a chance that a boss enemy might drop an exotic engram. Out of all of Xur’s items, assuming players already have the exotic armor and weapons he can sell, the Three of Coins were the most sought after, because they gave players both the chance to earn new exotics and increase their light level.

Unfortunately, it seems something in Xur’s code keeps his inventory limited, and since a few new items have been added, Three of Coins were pushed out of their slot. Bungie wouldn’t say whether this situation was intentional or not, but the studio did say that there was no fix for that given weekend. And now the same is true for this weekend, only it is Glass Needles that have been left out in the cold.
