All Destiny players regardless of console will be getting a bevy of content like a revamped Prison of Elders, new Light level, and a selection of updated Year 1 Exotics and Legendaries. But those playing on PlayStation 3 and 4 can expect a little more. Here’s what’s coming their way:
Zen Meteor Exotic Sniper Rifle
Last week, PlayStation announced that a new exotic sniper rifle called Zen Meteor would be coming exclusively to PlayStation with the upcoming April Update. No other description of the weapon was given, but now the weapon’s unique perks have now been revealed.
Here’s a sneak peek at Zen Meteor in action, although it cuts off before that extra round from the “With a Laser Beam” perk is shot.
With a Laser Beam: The extra round from Dynamite causes a massive explosion.

While the perks have been revealed, the sniper rifle’s stats are still under wraps. Fans are especially interested to see what archetype this weapon will fall into with the changes coming to snipers and revives in the Crucible.
Players will be able to earn this by decrypting engrams, and it will be added to the loot pool where exotics can drop.
New Quest, Mission, and the Velumbra Sparrow
Bungie has already revealed that there would be an PlayStation-exclusive quest that starts with Petra Venj in the Reef. It will be called “Essence of Darkness.” That Quest will culminate with an exclusive mission called “Fight Fire with Fire.” The reward? The Velumbra Sparrow, complete with its Boolean Gemini-inspired paint job.
Class-Specific Armor Sets
PlayStation users have received an exclusive armor set for each class with a few expansions in the past. They’ll be getting more. To get them, players will have to find Sublime Engrams by killing enemies. Sublime Engrams are purple engrams that drop at random. They are guaranteed to decrypt into the PlayStation-exclusive armor pieces.
These pieces won’t include Chroma, the new armor effect sets all players are getting with the April Update.
The Destiny April Update will launch April 12, 2016.
