To get the Anarchy exotic grenade launcher, players will need to complete the final boss fight of the Scourge of the Past raid and open the chest in the Vault below. Once per character per week, players will have a chance of getting the Anarchy, but it is a low chance at that.

For comparison, some players have completed Last Wish every week since the raid launched back in September and have yet to get One Thousand Voices. Others, like those that claimed World’s First on Scourge, will get it on their first try.

But while Destiny 2 players now know how to get Anarchy, the question then becomes whether the exotic is worth chasing. No doubt, Anarchy is one of the more unique exotics in Destiny 2, but it’s not as much of a dominant damage dealer as some of the other exotic power weapons.

Essentially, Anarchy creates a trap that deals damage to anything caught in its “web.” But the enemies with more health need to stay within the trap in order to get the full brunt of Anarchy’s damage and the trap grenades need to be close enough to tether to one another.

Still, under the right circumstances, Anarchy can be a fun exotic weapon to use, especially when the Heavyweight and Arc Singe modifiers are active in Strikes. For a little fun, the below video shows how Anarchy fares against Destiny 2’s Strike bosses.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
