Finding all Darkness Rifts is not an easy task without a guide, and even then, they can only be closed in a very specific way that may not be quite intuitive at first glance. This guide aims at helping all Destiny 2 players who want to complete this Triumph, which is also required to obtain the Gumshoe title.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - First Darkness Rift

In order to find the first Darkness Rift in Savathun’s Throne World, players should head to the area by the name of Quagmire, and from the landing zone, they should be looking for the entrance to the Extraction Lost Sector marked on the map.

The entrance to the Extraction Lost Sector can only be uncovered by activating the nearby Deepsight bubble, which will then lead players down a fallen tree and into a cave.

The first Darkness Rift is located at the end of the Lost Sector, near the Boss Chest, which means that Destiny 2 players will need to defeat all the enemies inside to reach the final boss.

It’s worth noting that players have to have and use the Parasite Exotic grenade launcher in order to complete this Triumph, which means that players need to have finished The Witch Queen campaign and completed the Of Queens and Worms Exotic quest.

Once players are able to see the Darkness Rift in the Extraction Lost Sector, they should fire Parasite nearby, placing the shot in a way that damages them but doesn’t kill them, which will activate the Worm Byproduct buff for a short duration. While Worm Byproduct is active, Destiny 2 players can then use any weapon to shoot the Darkness Rift and close it.

It’s worth noting that this procedure needs to take place every time, not just this once.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Second Darkness Rift

The second Darkness Rift is located towards the right edge of the Quagmire area before players can access a zone called Alluring Curtain.

Players will find a small building with arches on two sides, often guarded by some Hive Acolytes and a Knight. The building has an open roof, in the middle of which the Darkness Rift is found.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Third Darkness Rift

The third Darkness Rift is located in the Florescent Canal area of Savathun’s Throne World, which can be accessed through a path near the place where the second Rift is found.

Destiny 2 players should use their Sparrow and navigate the area by speeding while adjacent to the walls on the right until they can see a similar structure to the one that contained the second Darkness Rift. This building will be on the right, at the end of a small ledge.

Players should go to the building and walk to the back of it, where the third Darkness Rift is located.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Fourth Darkness Rift

The fourth Darkness Rift is located at the end of the Sepulcher Lost Sector, which can be found nearby in the Florescent Canal area.

Players should head to the Lost Sector’s entrance and complete it as normal, eventually finding the fourth Darkness Rift on the left from where the Boss Chest is located.

Again, shooting Parasite to activate the Worm Byproduct buff is required to close the Darkness Rift with any weapon.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Fifth Darkness Rift

To find the fifth Darkness Rift, players should exit the Lost Sector and go back to the Florescent Canal area, this time zooming for the Queen’s Bailey zone, where the Lightblade Strike normally begins.

At the end of the stairs, keeping their left, players will find Destiny 2’s fifth Darkness Rift up in the air, near the fortress’ wall.

As usual, players will need the Worm Byproduct buff to shoot the Rift, and possibly a rather stable weapon to then close it.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Sixth Darkness Rift

In order to find the sixth Darkness Rift, Destiny 2 players need to go to the Miasma area of Savathun’s Throne World.

Then, players should look for the temple-like structure that is actually where the entrance to the Vow of the Disciple Raid is. Here, players will need to keep their right and go behind the sculpture’s pedestal on the side, which is where the sixth Darkness Rift is.

Shooting the Rift will complete another step of the No Peeking Triumph, as customary.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Seventh Darkness Rift

The seventh Darkness Rift is found in the Miasma area once again, this time at the end of the Metamorphosis Lost Sector.

Destiny 2 players should complete the Metamorphosis Lost Sector as per usual, and after grabbing the contents of the Boss Chest, they should use the green beam of energy to go back up near the entrance.

However, this time they should pay attention to the Darkness Rift on the right before heading into the tunnel, as it can easily be missed.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Eighth Darkness Rift

Darkness Rift number eight requires players to go back to the Quagmire area from Miasma, this time heading for one of the locations of The Witch Queen campaign: The Temple of Cunning.

The Temple of Cunning can be reached by delving into Quagmire’s underground cave system, which can be accessed in the big grotto where some Scorn enemies are commonly found (and also where the Ether public event normally takes place).

Players will soon reach the Temple of the Wrathful. From there, they should go to the left in the cave with the Scorn and take the portal, which will lead them outside, where the encounter against the Scorn Walker takes place in the campaign.

Once outside, players should head to their left and take the path from there, through some more Scorn. Following the path will lead to the entrance of the Temple of the Cunning, where players should keep going on a rather straightforward trail.

When players finally reach the top of the Temple, they should jump down like in The Cunning mission from the campaign, and proceed forward until a bit after the first set of swinging pendulums.

Here, players will want to go right and jump up, where another swinging pendulum is located. From there, players can keep going on the trail until they see a Deepsight bubble, which they should activate.

Players should then jump up, following the newly-formed platforms, and eventually get up where the Darkness Rift is located.

Alternatively, Destiny 2 players can also stop where the swinging pendulum was and jump on the rock beside it, from which they should be able to see the Darkness Rift’s whispy form with a long-range weapon such as a scout rifle or a pulse rifle.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Ninth Darkness Rift

The ninth Darkness Rift can be found while playing the Wellspring activity in either of its variations.

The Rift is located on top of a pillar that players will find on their left while running Wellspring: Attack, right after taking the green beam to go up to where the payload is located, but before entering the payload’s area.

Conversely, the Rift will be found on the right when players are running Wellspring: Defend, this time towards the end of the activity, before jumping down to chase the boss after the initial damage phase.

How to Complete The No Peeking Triumph - Tenth Darkness Rift

The final Darkness Rift can be found at the very end of any Altar of Reflection activity, which can be launched weekly in Savathun’s Throne World after completing the campaign.

The Rift will be located on the left side of the Altar where Savathun’s memories can be viewed, but Destiny 2 fans can easily miss this one because it blends in with the color palette of the area.

Once located, the Darkness RIft can be closed as usual, and the No Peeking Triumph will be fully unlocked.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
