After Dead Orbit won the first faction rally of Destiny 2’s Season 3 and Future War Cult took the win on the last one, players indeed rallied around New Monarchy helping the faction be the winner.

All players can now visit Executor Hideo in the Tower to pick up the Broadsword Launcher rocket launcher. Those who allied themselves with New Monarchy during this Faction Rally will be able to purchase the Broadsword Launcher for 1,000 Glimmer while everyone else will have to pay a much heftier 50,000 Glimmer.

New Monarchy dominated the Faction Rallies of the past, but they lost their winning streak in this third season after Bungie introduced changes to Faction Rallies. For one, the factions were each given an exotic catalyst that players could earn after ranking up 50 times with each faction.

Dead Orbit was the early favorite because the faction offered the catalyst for the very dominant Graviton Lance. While certain players were excited to get Future War Cult’s Sunshot catalyst, what propelled them to victory this season was their featured weapon, The Vision. Future War Cult came out on top once Bungie revealed that The Vision (and every featured weapon for that matter) would not make its way into the general faction loot pool but each faction winning was the only way to earn it.

New Monarchy had the catalyst for Sweet Business which wasn’t as popular as the other catalysts and New Monarchy’s shaders weren’t as vied for this season, but enough players rallied during this event get the faction the win.

As a reminder, players can still earn progress towards any Ornaments for their selected faction during this Victory Week. Players will have until the net weekly reset to pick up New Monarchy’s Broadsword Launcher as well.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
