In its weekly blog post, Bungie revealed which specific Destiny 2 activities and items are going to be retired at the end of the Season of the Worthy on June 9th. Players shouldn’t be surprised by the things that are leaving, but now they have confirmation what needs to be completed or enjoyed before it goes away, potentially forever.

Season of the Worthy’s key activity, the Seraph Tower Public Event, is leaving and making way for whatever activity will be the focus of Season 11. It would have been interesting to see the Seraph Towers stay and bring some diversity to public events but the limitations of the event – it’s nearly impossible to solo – ensure it has to go.

The other new activity for Season of the Worthy, Legendary Lost Sectors, are expiring and only normal Lost Sectors will remain.

Alongside the Seraph Tower Public Events, the Seraph Bunkers are going to be closed for good at the end of Season 10. The upgrades and the Warmind Bit currency associated with the Seraph Bunkers are also getting removed from Destiny 2.

Season of the Worthy Season Pass bonuses (fireteam XP bonus, for example) will also be unobtainable or reset for the next season. As well, any collectible emblems and shaders will be going away.

The launch of Destiny 2 Season 11 will also make it so players can no longer complete the Felwinter’s Lie shotgun quest and the 4th Horseman exotic shotgun quest. Since the former uses the Moon Seraph Bunker as its grand finale and the latter needs a Legendary Lost Sector to complete, it makes sense that they would expire.

While it’s possible that Fourth Horseman exotic shotgun will eventually be added to the Destiny 2 exotic pool, it’s less likely that Felwinter’s Lie will drop from a new source. PvP players should pick up and complete the quest because the shotgun is one of the best secondary options for Crucible.

Other items that are going away at the end of Season 11 include:

However, unlike past seasons there are some parts of Season of the Worthy that are seemingly not going away. Specifically, the weapons and armor might actually be obtainable beyond June 9th.

Seraph Bunker Upgrades

Chipsets

Seraph Bounties

Warmind Frame Event

Bungie says that it is going to add loot from past seasons into its loot pool to add more diversity and it’s assumed that Season of the Worthy items will be part of that. However, not all of the items from this season will be available – only those that Bungie deems worthy of continuing.

Destiny 2 players have about two weeks to complete and farm anything that they want to before Season of the Worthy concludes. Considering that the season as a whole has had a lot of low points, most players are likely happy to see it conclude.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
