The first will be the option to replay portions of Desperados 3’s campaign with characters only unlockable during later chapters, allowing for a wealth of new scenarios and fun retreads. The trailer for the mode seems to hint there might even be new dialogue for the game’s story moments as well, with characters acknowledging they aren’t meant to be present in specific scenes.

The second addition is the ability to wield “level editing cheats,” allowing the player to essentially build their own maps. In the trailer, the feature looks to be pretty extensive, as the player places explosive barrels, enemy units, and other objects throughout various areas. It looks to be a solid mission editor, with Mimimi Games even confirming that players can save their edited maps and share them online. It’ll hopefully lead to some substantial new levels being created and passed around by the community.

Both features look to be fun new ways to interact with and experience Desperados 3. Seeing as the game launched back in June, fans are likely looking for more content, and level editors are a surefire way to keep the community behind a game satisfied. The THQ Nordic title stands as just one of the publisher’s huge successes this year, with it also releasing the Destroy All Humans remake and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated.

Desperados 3 is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
